The Stress Effect: From Brain to Body

Date: Monday 17th May

Time: 5.30pm-6.30pm (arrive from 5pm)

Location: Whiteleaf Training

Mental health issues are not just “in [a person’s] head” they often have physical signs and symptoms as well.

Ignoring employee welfare costs businesses money through loss of productivity, absenteeism and in the extreme, legal action. But how do working environments end up affecting employees in such a physical way?

This seminar has been designed to provide managers and HR professionals with a practical, physiological understanding of why the work environment –and the level of stress it brings to bear - can affect the physical health of employees. We also cover the ways in which this ends up costing businesses money and the responsibilities companies have to look after their employees should they be off work for ill health reasons.

Who will this seminar benefit?

Managers, HR professionals, Health and Safety Officers, and any individual with an interest in how stress affects physical health.
